Lymphatics and Massage
Struggling with Pain? Ready to Feel Better?
Hi, I’m Rosemarie (Marie) Trafford, and at Assessment First Massage and Lymphatics, my goal is to help you move beyond pain and discomfort with a holistic, thoughtful approach. I am located at 208 - 231 TransCanada Highway, Salmon Arm, BC V1E 4R8 I also maintain clinic space in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience and specialized training, I bring a unique approach to your treatment. I graduated from a 2,200-hour massage therapy program, meeting the rigorous educational standards required to become a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS), where I also completed qualifying exams. After moving to Alberta, I joined a national health association, the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC), that supports my continued commitment to high-quality, ethical care. While I’m not a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia, my training is fully recognized in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. I’ve had extensive education in a range of techniques such as Myofascial Cupping, Dermoneuromodulation (DNM), Scar Tissue Management and Oncology Massage, to name just a few and I’m passionate about using these skills to help you address the root causes of your discomfort.
What Makes My Approach Different?
I believe that massage should leave you feeling better, not worse. That’s why I don’t subscribe to the “no pain, no gain” mentality. Instead, I focus on gentle, effective soft-tissue, nerve and lymphatic techniques that work with your body’s natural healing processes. Whether you’re experiencing chronic pain, tension headaches, or need specialized care like cancer recovery, trauma informed or TMJ massage, my goal is to relieve tension and discomfort without causing additional pain.
Your First Appointment
When you come in for your first visit, we’ll start with a thorough, oral health history to understand your unique needs and goals. I recommend a 90-minute session for your first appointment, but I’m happy to accommodate shorter sessions if needed. I want to ensure we take the time to give you the care you deserve.
Why Choose Me?
My experience and training, recognized in three other provinces, allow me to bring a fresh perspective to your care. I love working with the people of Salmon Arm and the Shuswap region to provide treatments that go beyond the traditional, incorporating techniques that focus on long-term relief and well-being.
While I don’t offer direct billing, I accept debit, credit, Interac e-transfers, and cash. If you’re looking for experienced, compassionate care, book online today—I look forward to helping you feel better!
As a proud member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) and certified in Lymphatic Therapy through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), I’m proud to bring my skills and passion for healing to the people of Salmon Arm and surrounding area.
